Challenge #1

One down, 49 to go! My Mom has been making baskets and cornhusk dolls for a little over 20 years now. Earlier this year, she and Dad visited, bringing her supplies along to teach the kids and I to make a simple basket. I don't know if this particular design has any historical basis, but I'm keeping my eyes open as I look at manuscripts. I use it for egg gathering as the handle is short and keeps the basket up close to your arm. This is important when gathering eggs with a small herd of inquisitive goats following along. The inside bottom is indented which keeps the eggs from rolling around as much.
