Progress on lace knitting

The yarn here is a blend of my angora "Tigerlily" and white sheep's wool. It was spun on a drop spindle and here you can see how things went when I started plying the singles together and set it down to go do something in another room.

Well, despite Gus' help, the yarn turned out ok. It's soft, fluffy and heavenly to work with. Some spots are a bit bulky, but hopefully won't affect the pattern to much.

This is the "Branching Out" pattern (for those of you on ravelry); it's my first excursion into lace knitting. I must figure out lace 'cause it's sooo pretty. I already have several advanced lace patterns printed out that I can't wait to get too....so much to learn!
