Miscellaneous Monday

Today is going to be a bit of a brag. I just realized that I'd never written about the mural I painted. About 2 years ago I had the wonderful opportunity to paint the baptistery mural for a nearby church. They showed me several pictures that the committee had all liked and I was given the task of adapting their favorite elements from those pictures into one large, long mural. Here are several "in progress" shots:

It was a fun and exciting experience even though it took much longer than expected. It was also very intense & draining work; I put in nearly a week of 8 to 10 hour days, stopping only to eat a quick lunch and take a walk to stretch my legs.

I wish you could see it in person, it was hard to photograph and is really more impressive than it looks in these pictures.
